|A-League CEO confirms club are still pursuing their interest in Harry Kewell|
Harry Kewell’s potential return to Australia is still on the cards; after a CEO of a top side revealed that his club have not lost hope of luring the talisman.
Sydney FC CEO Dirk Melton confirmed the revelation earlier today, insisting that the former Galatasaray player is well and truly on their agenda.
“We are continuing to pursue him,” Melton affirmed to au.fourfourtwo.com.
After labeling Kewell as a “living legend”, he went on to add, “It goes without saying what he’d bring to Sydney FC, but also to Australian sport. His signing, if it did happen, would transcend football.”
Kewell, who is also being targeted by fellow A-League club Melbourne Victory, recently confirmed his desire to remain a member of the Australia national team.
Speaking to the Melbourne Weekly, he declared: “The music is still playing very loud in me and that’s how I want to continue.
“Until that completely goes away, no, I won’t give up football. I enjoy it that much.”
