Tomorrow Lazio will have their last chance to qualify for the next round of the Europa League against Sporting Lisbon. Coach Edy Reja thinks it will be a tough match despite the fact that their opponents are already qualified for the next round.

“We will play this match at 100% of our possibilities,” he said to Repubblica.it. “I hear people say that since the Portuguese side are already qualified, it will be an easy match for us. Thinking like that would be the biggest mistake we could make. We have to play at the top of our possibilities, after reaching this point we have to play all our best cards to go through.

“In the first match against them we didn’t deserve to lose, we created chances but we were unlucky and some refereeing episodes condemned us. In Europe we always have to play at our best, we need experience, maturity and awareness. It’s not like playing in the Italian league.”

On the match in Zurich between the bottom-placed home side and Vaslui, who also have a chance to qualify, Reja said: “I think it will be a real match in Zurich. Also Sporting won’t come here for a picknick. In the Europa League nobody wants to lose.”
