Tomorrow Lazio face FC Zurich in the fourth matchday of the Europa League looking for their first win in the group stage. Coach Edy Reja is well aware of the importance of this match.

“It’s enough to look at the standings to realise the importance of the match,” he said to Repubblica.it. ”In Europe we have been a bit unlucky so far. We’ve created a lot, but we haven’t been very concrete.

“The first match [against Zurich]? We were the only ones on the pitch, it’s too bad we conceded a goal like that. Tomorrow we have to win.”

On the formation, the coach said: “[Djibril] Cissé and [Miroslav] Klose should rest, [Abdoulay] Konko has a problem to his back. I still hope to have them available.

“Hernanes? We’ll see, he’s also not doing well. If he shouldn’t make it, we might change the system slightly, 4-4-2 instead of the 4-3-1-2.”

Lazio are doing very well in Serie A, where they hold a joint-second place with just one point below Juventus.

“The team is growing, the objective is [to qualify for the Champions League],” Reja added. “It would be fantastic to achieve such a result. We want to improve our finish of last season.”
